Situated in South Africa’s Malaria free Eastern Cape, some 43 km east of the historic city of Grahamstown makes it an easy drive from either Port Elizabeth or from East London for a few days’ bush getaway from the city, a mini-conference or an executive business meeting free of urban distractions.

Perched high on the banks of the Great Fishriver, Huntshoek Lodge is our flagship luxury lodge. The central lounge/dining entertainment area is framed with large glass doors leading onto a large deck overlooking the river below.
The Huntshoek Fully Catered Lodge boasts luxurious accommodation with 4 x fully catered chalets, 2 x lounge areas and an infinity pool. Self-catering option also available. Limited personalised room configurations available on request. A minimum of 2 x night’s stay is applicable to all rates.
This includes the Ellies, Presidential, Nyala and Zebra Chalet. Perfect for small groups, team building, families, couples and individuals alike. The chalets are all non-smoking, however smoking outside is permitted.
The chalets are individual with a shared lodge, dining and pool area. The lodge can host up-to a maximum of 8 x adults. There is the option to add 4 x adults by including the Hunters (Self-catering) chalet. Arrangements can be made for families travelling with children.
The fully catered option includes a set meal for Dinner & Breakfast. We serve a traditional starter which includes biltong, cheese and Biscuits.

Huntsdrift Self Catering Lodge
Huntsdrift Self Catering Lodge is situated high upon a ridge, so you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Great Fish River Valley from the comfort of your room or deck; and look forward to the truly magnificent sunrises and sunsets, they’re a sight to behold.
This lodge consists of 4 x individual chalets and 1 loft; able to sleep up to 10 people sharing. There is an option to add Wildebeest Free-Standing Chalet for an additional 2 people – making it ideal for larger self-catered groups.
The main Lodge area has an open plan kitchen with an indoor braai, spacious lounge and dining area, which is shared between the chalets. Enjoy an outside braai under a canopy of stars.
For those hot summer days, enjoy a relaxing dip in the communal pool.
The central lounge/dining area opens up onto a large deck with views of the Fishriver valley. Guests can gather around a crackling fire in our open-air boma, or indoors. The lodge is ideal for mini-conferences, team building events, small party groups – catering can be arranged on request.

Activities around Grahamstown
Bring your mountain bike or walking shoes and explore this very diverse and rugged countryside which is alive with warthog, buck, zebra and wildebeest to name a few.
With an abundance of birdlife it is the avid birdwatcher’s delight, so make sure you bring your bird guidebook and binoculars. Discover a surprise around every corner, from fragile flora to the slow-moving tortoise - you will not be disappointed.
